Les Gragnotes / Désobéissance 2020

12 alc.
Red wine
Grape: 90% Carignan, 10% Grenache

The name of this cuvee means “disobedience”. It’s because it has been pretty rocky to make: the Carignan had an illness so they thought they would lose them, but in the end it was fine. However, during vinification it was also pretty harsh, nothing went as expected. In the end, it’s the cuvee they liked the most but it was also the most complicated, hence the name!

Pretty ruby color with purplish reflections. The expressive nose of red fruits with scents of garrigue (Thyme, menthol), the mouth is fresh on the attack, held together by a nice tannin on notes of red fruits.

This is the first millesime that they work with unstemmed Carignan and Grenache (in 2018 they destemmed all the grapes).

The first millesimes were 100% Carignan, but in 2021 they added a bit of Grenache to get a better balance.
