The Queen of Cinsault
Elisabeth was born in the Languedoc region, and she chose wine from the start. She studied at an oenology school, and started her career by working with wine negociants. As time passed, she felt the need to explore the other side, dreaming more and more to possess her own vineyard and create her own wines.
This dream became truth in 2012, when she could acquire a small vineyard of Grenache blanc et Cinsault. At first she vinified at a friend’s chai, and finally in 2018 she was able to move in her own place called “The Mas of Boissonade”, a beautiful old Languedoc building in Gignac’s countryside.
There, the terroir is limestone and clay, under the sunny and dry Mediterranean climate. The cold wind from the nearby plateau du Larzarc gives an irresistible freshness to the wines.
Since the start, she always wanted to work in respect of the vines, the land, the environment.
In 2014, she transitioned to Organic Agriculture.
